Expanded Group Sizes
WhatsApp is gradually expanding the maximum capacity of group chats, allowing users to add up to 512 members per group. Previously, the limit was set at 256 members. This update aims to accommodate larger communities and facilitate seamless communication among larger groups of users.
Emoji Reactions
One of the most anticipated features, emoji reactions, has finally arrived on WhatsApp. Users can now express their reactions to messages using a variety of emojis, adding a fun and interactive element to conversations. These reactions help streamline communication by providing quick feedback without the need for lengthy replies.
Enhanced File Sharing
WhatsApp has also increased the file size limit for sharing within the platform. Users can now send files of up to 2GB in size, compared to the previous limit of 100MB. Improved User Experience
To ensure smooth file transfers, WhatsApp recommends using a WiFi connection for larger files. Additionally, the platform will display a transfer progress counter, allowing users to track the status of their uploads and downloads in real time.
